Male nude swimming is a time-honored tradition but long under attack by moralists of both sexes. During the 19th century, moralists succeeded in forbidding nude swimming when women were present, first for men and later for boys. In the 20th century, moralists and feminists effectively forbade nude swimming in all-male venues by outlawing such venues.
The women shown in these pictures are to be commended. While not nudists themselves, they support their men by allowing, if not encouraging, them to appear nude in public, whether on beaches or elsewhere.
And Marie is to be commended for sponsoring this forum in celebration of public male nudity. It is a joyful, liberating experience!
