Since they appeared a few years ago as a fashion for men, I've always found those so-called " shorts " to look both ridiculous and hideous at the same time. I imagine they are uncomfortable too. So this image of the two couples wearing or not wearing what they do is a great example of two contrasting styles one representing freedom and a recognition of the beauty of the human body on the one hand, and restricted convention and pedestrian conformity on the other.
