Ballongdansen: Swedish for balloon dance, is
a tradition from Sweden where a group of
boys and girls will strip dance with only
having balloons to cover them. It is popular
at bachelor parties, weddings and big festive occasions.

Balloon dance is a type of stage performance where one or more people are naked and rubbing balloons. As the balloons explode, this becomes more difficult.

The balloon dance is originally from the UK television program O.T.T. Where comic Malcolm Hardy, Martin Clarke and Martin Sloane performed the 1982 dance in the "The Greatest Show on Legs" segment. The music used is String-a-long's instrumental song "Wheels".

In 1982, the dance was performed in the entertainment machine, then by Lasse Åberg, Sven Melander and Bosse Larsson.

In Sweden, Curt Haagers recorded the dance that is always used in these appearances.

During the 1990s, it has become a tradition for balloon dancing to occur, for example, in school exams or in student situations. There are often both young men and women, men completely naked and women often topless.
