Trimming -- entirely an option. My wife and I like the wild look. We tried close shaving for a while, but the stubble while waiting for the pubic beard to return got to be too irritating, so we go with all the hair that wants to grow there. We brush it, but have not trimmed either her nor me for a decade.
Those scissors look frightening and you can't get a close shave with them. I always go with the shaved look. I think the hairy look is unattractive even for women. I use those multi-blade razors about every other time I shower. Sometimes I get a minuscule nick but I never feel it. Stubble is irritating but I guess it depends on how coarse your pubes are.

option. No irritation that way with stubble. For those with smaller
penises trimming is a must for easier finding and using along with a

Much nicer and safer to have another trim than having to do it yourself with scissors - which I have needed to do many a time. My wife does like me neatly trimmed.
