It makes sense. The bride sheathed in virginal white to signify her dignity and immaculacy. The groom naked to show that he retains no secrets, and places himself at her disposal. The male body celebrated, the female body revered.

I think that the Groome should give his clothed bride a ring on her finger. The bride should give the groom a Prince Albert ring this should be done at the service by the mother in law in front of the congregation
