INDEPENDENT AND FREE CATALUNYA!

Risultati immagini per fc barcelona and catalonia independence

Form the website Barcelona website: “FC Barcelona, as one of the leading entities in Catalonia, and in accordance with its historical record, for the defense of freedom of expression and the right to decide, today, after the condemnatory ruling issued by the Supreme Court in relation to the open process against the Catalan civic and political leaders, states that.
In the same way that the preventive prison sentence didn’t help to resolve the conflict, neither will the prison sentence given today, because prison is not the solution.
The resolution of the conflict in Catalonia must come exclusively from political dialogue.

The only way is a free and independent republic of Catalunya? Really?

WHAT DOES CATALONIA HAS TO DO WITH CFNM?
Marie, you wrote a long, sad -and I guess sincere- post to complain about unfounded and unfair critics, but here, you really go out of topic and endorse highly debatable political statements. From many points of view, including mine, there are many others and better solution to these rather limited burst of riots of extreme political activists than the independance of Catalonia.
Short after having asked the visitors of your website to be tempered, this post is exactly what you complained about: childish, offending, manichean.
THIS IS THE FIRST TIME YOU REALLY DISAPPOINT ME!

I guess you are a stranger (maybe a Spanish against the Catalan people), since you do not understand the matter at all !

I support Catalan independence! The Spanish state is not a democracy. I learned a lot about Catalonia and Spain because of my many friends in the Balearic Islands. The Catalans have the right to be in charge of themselves if the majority of them wishes this. They have been peacefully protesting for self-determination and autonomy for a long time, and with great dignity. The deafening silence of the EU in regards to the excessive prison sentences and brutal police actions of Spain is a disgrace. Love and support from Flanders, Belgium.

The Catalonian supremacist movement is using violence to establish an apartheid regime in the region, restringing dramatically the civil rights of millions of citizens.
The freedom of Spanish people to live in peace in its own country is now in risk because of the ultra-nationalist polítics of Catalonia an their xenophobic goverment.

I assume that none of you is spanish and neither is catalan. Well, I'm catalan and I'm spanish. I am 36 years old and I have lived all my life in Barcelona. The problem is much more complex than you can imagine and reading your opinions it is clear that you do not have much knowledge on the subject.

I assume you don't live in Spain, you don't live in Catalonia and you don't know the reality of the subject. There are extremists on both sides (Spain and Catalonia) and each one sells you a story. But the reality is that not all catalans want to become independent, that the referendum is illegal and that the chaos and destruction that my city is suffering today is the result of the extremism of minority groups. Saying "THE ONLY WAY IS A FREE AND INDEPENDENT REPUBLIC OF CATALUNYA" is as absurd as saying "THE ONLY WAY IS A FREE AND INDEPENDENT REPUBLIC OF PARIS" or "THE ONLY WAY IS A FREE AND INDEPENDENT REPUBLIC OF BERLIN" just because there are minority political groups who say they feel oppressed. Catalonia is as free as it is Madrid, Andalusia, the Canary Islands or Castilla y Leon. Spain is not a repressive country and Catalonia is not a repressed state. These political groups only seek votes and sell the message that the problems of Catalonia (which are the same as in the rest of Spain) will be solved with independence. Thanks to being part of Spain the Olympic games could be held in Barcelona with the consequent investment and economic growth that it meant for the city. The extension of the Prat, the remodeling of the port of Barcelona or the reconstruction of the Liceu are just some examples of what was achieved as part of Spain. On the contrary they do not talk about the corruption of catalan politicians such as the Puyol, the Palau case or the Pretoria. Nor do they talk about the many catalans that we have manifested to continue being part of Spain or how certain extremist groups treat us for having that thought.

This is a very very brief summary of a very very complex problem. Just add to finish that maybe you should be more restrained with certain political ads when you don't have a very very thorough knowledge about this topic.

Me gusta tu blog pero esto le sobra y lo afea mucho, además de ser una enorme falta de respeto a los catalanes que no somos republicanos ni independentistas.

A pity that you mix politics with entertainment. A shame not to realize that the independence movement is the perfect excuse for Europe's most rancid and corrupt bourgeoisie to continue to hold power. The worst political caste supported by the anti-system and the extreme left: it is crazy.

Every opinion is legitimate, anyway...

Barcelona: 500,000 people on the streets in favor of independence;
only 80,000 today for the union.

The numbers speak for themselves.
