I would love if it become even more 'main stream' :) like there should be a WNBR in every major city with mandatory outfit for the guys: Bike helmet, shoes, gloves and nothing more than that :)

maybe it wouldn't quite be WNBR anymore but rather WNMBR but it also sounds good :D but it's probably out of concern for women and their dignity and respect for their bodies and not flaunting excessive nudity in public places :) which is different for guys - they don't have to worry so much and certainly wouldn't complain that someone is forcing them to strip naked at such an event :D
@CFNM1976: Sorry, but that's definitely not the goal of WNBR! The purpose of WNBR is to protest against oil dependence. Not rides of naked men with clothed women.

the nature of things. Hats for the sun and shoes for the men
for pedaling and walking on hot surfaces. Let the ladies dress
as they wish some nude, some topless and maybe some bottomless,

I agree. The London WNBR had a cartoon of a couple on a tandem bike. It was clear that the woman had a top and bottom on while the male was naked. Hoepfully they were hinting that women should always have tops and bottoms on while the males are naked and should always have their genitals in full view.
In the original figure, the woman is also naked.
