There is something about women measuring a penis that gets me hot. Especially when it shows more than one woman involved. It could be very embarrassing to the male if he is not large or erect at the time, because our penis size can vary a great deal depending on circumstances. Be careful with the retraction ... not the retraction of the foreskin, but retraction of the tape measure. Metal tape measures can snap back with a vengeance. Not the kind of chance you want to take around the penis.

Buckeye, as Verygary points out, the measuring device they are using is not a ruler per se, it is a carpenters square. But to your point, yes, the measuring device should be positions with zero at the base of the penis, which would have been awkward in this case.
I agree that girls should be able to measure male penises, in sex-ed classes or elsewhere. And if they would like measurements hard and soft, they could easily obtain that data if they stimulate the penis adequately. And if they did perhaps more men would volunteer to be measured.
